As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith (Galatians 6:10).
Linn Manor seeks to provide a high-quality health care service to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and recreational needs of the residents. Each resident is encouraged to participate in their personal plan of care to enhance the quality of life and Christian fellowship, which a resident can enjoy during their stay.
Linn Manor Care Center has been in operation in Marion, Iowa, since 1979 as a 38-bed nursing home providing health care services with a licensed nurse on every shift. The Gospel Hall Assemblies of Christians, who gather in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, built the home. Service is provided to people from the community, who would appreciate a conservative Christian environment with a home like atmosphere.
The Linn Manor Care Center Board of Directors thanks everyone who has made possible first the inception and then the operation of the Home for the past 33 years. This support has taken a variety of forms including dedication to an idea, prayer, planning, financial contributions, willing volunteers, staff, committees, advisors, consultants, medical services, residents, and families.
In addition to the recognition of the many individuals in the history above, the Board thanks Grant and Pat Hagen for their untiring, unselfish service of 31 years. Without them, Linn Manor would not be the success that it is today. May all be done to the glory of God and God alone.
On January 1, 2012, Grant took partial retirement from administrative duties. Grant
has turned over these duties to a new, yet old face. Rich first came to work for
Linn Manor back in 2000 in the Maintenance area while studying at Kirkwood Community
College. In 2006, after acquiring a job as Agronomy Instructor at Kirkwood, he began
again to assist with maintenance projects on a part-time basis. After learning of
the need for an Administrator successor and prayerful consideration, the Board of
Directors and Rich agreed to pursue Rich acquiring his Administrator’s license. In
order to meet the Nursing Home licensing requirements of the State of Iowa, Rich
attended a year of college at DMACC to study Nursing Home Administration. In September
of 2011, Rich successfully passed the Nursing Home Administrator’s Exam. Since that
time, Rich has worked closely with Grant, learning the day-to-day functions of the
Linn Manor Administrator position. Rich would like to thank Grant and all of the
Linn Manor staff for their patience and assistance during the past months of training
and endless questions.
